Hi Blacktulip,

Mobile numbers are national so you should dial the whole number (0402...) regardless of location.

The landline number you have also has Australia's country code (61). Leave that out and add a zero: 07 33... You can dial local landline numbers without the area code which is 07 in this case.

Hi I'm moving to Australia, and I want to know how to call a mobile phone or landline from my mobile phone.

For example, if I call another mobile, locally, and the number that they gave me is 0402 1xx 00x (this is in Brisbane, QLD)

Would I dial the whole number? What about a landline number? For a number like this 61 7 33xx 4xxx what do I leave out when I call it from my mobile or another landline?

Can someone get back to me soon, I leave today! Thanks!
