Fixed 7 digit numbers in the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are now 8 digit.<br /> 2. Fixed 6 digit numbers in all the other provinces of Vietnam are now 7 digit.</p> <p>This change was made by adding a digit between the area code and the old subscriber number. Digits added are:</p> <ul> <li>2 - EVN subscribers</li> <li>3 - Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group subscribers</li> <li>4 - Vietnam Multimedia Corporation subscribers</li> <li>5 - Saigon Postel Corporation subscribers</li> <li>6 - Viettel subscribers</li> </ul> <p><strong>Example:</strong></p> <blockquote><p>Former telephone number from Hanoi: 8?? ???? with operator Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group now becomes 38?? ????.
