Cell phone number within Italy

I’m an American traveling to Italy, and I was asked for my cell phone number by my host. Would she dial my U.S. number? Thank you!

Hello Terry,
Yes, have her dial your US phone number regardless of your location (Italy or US). To call your US number she must add 00 to it (00 1 ??? ??? ????).
