my boyfriend got a cell in india. he is staying in kalimpong, and i am in canada. i looked up the kalimpong area code and it is 3552.
i realize i need to dial 011 to dial out of canada, and 91 for india.
the number he gave me is 919679480??? so the 91 is for the india and the rest is his cell number? do i need to put a kalimpong area code in?
what number would i use to text him?

Hi,
You don't add the area code - cell numbers in most countries outside North America do not use area codes. So you will dial 011 91 9679.... Same number for texting. When calling/texting from your cell you can also use the plus sign instead of 011.

both of us have tried texting each other with no luck! even messages sent yesterday havent been received. he has service because we've been talking and the messages say they are sent succesfully. any ideas why it isnt working?
Texting between 2 countries often does not work because of an incompatibility between the two wireless networks. Call your wireless provider to inquire about this issue.
