I am unable to call a cell phone in Lima, Peru with the numbering I have used in the past (011 511 9 9 xxxxxxx). The message tells me there has been a numbering change. Does anyone know the new numbering?

    Hi Mary,
Yes, there was a numbering change for Peru cell phones taking place about a year ago. We published an announcement on the change at the time and this announcement is also linked from our main page on dialing to Peru.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Heads-up

Some information on these forums could be outdated - countries change their numbering plans periodically. We recommend using our top menu to double check the correct instructions for dialing to a specific country.
