I am trying to call the following number (for Orbitz) from Australia : 001 312 253 6469 but continually get an error message. What am I doing wrong?

    Hello,
When dialing this number (or any international number) from Australia you ought to use 0011 instead of the starting 00: 0011 1 312 and so on. Normally they should have listed the number in its universally acceptable international dialing format: +1 312 253 6469. You would then replace the plus sign with your country’s international exit code, which again is 0011 for AU. 00 works for most other countries.
