My sister is on a motorhome holiday in Italy, & I will also be in Italy soon. We both have UK mobiles, have just texted her on +447XXXetc, do I still text the same number when we are both in Italy? Thanks for your help.

Hi Toasty. Yes, you use the same dialing sequence. Normally, when you are in the UK and she is abroad you can text her by using the regular UK number: 07 etc. However, most European mobile networks are set to also work with the international codes added, even when dialing within the UK. However, when you are both outside the UK, using +44 (or 0044) and dropping the starting zero become mandatory.
