    Hello,

If you are in Italy and you want to call another US person carrying a US cell phone also located in Italy you do not call as if you were in the US. Basically, when traveling abroad your US cell becomes a local phone. So, to call from US cell to US cell you will dial as if calling from Italy to the US: 00 1 xxx xxx xxxx. People from the US can call you as if you were in the US.
