Are the cellular codes (Algeria) also geographically fixed?

    Hello!
At first thank you for this website. I couldn't find any like this in German, the information I've found were just confusing because they didn't conform to each other.
I'd like to call someone in Algeria (from Germany). Is the code 55 valid for the whole country?

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    Rose

    Rose,
Cellular phones in Algeria do not use area codes, just like Germany. Instead, they have a national dialing format: for example 55 ??? ????. There are several other dialing formats for cellular phone numbers (see the link below). However, if you are dialing an Algerian mobile you should already have the complete number to which you must only add 00 213.

Let me know if you need anymore help:)

No, if you are calling a cell number you don't need to add any geographical area codes.
