Do you use the exit code- 011? or do you just dial 61 and the area code and then the number?
    Thanks

    Hello,

You either use 011 or the plus sign before Australia’s country code 61. If the number you are dialing to is a cell phone you do not need to add any geographical area codes. Australia’s mobile numbers have this format nationwide: (0)4 ???? ????. You would drop the starting zero. Landlines are also 9 digit, including area code. More on the page below:

Heads-up

Some information on these forums could be outdated - countries change their numbering plans periodically. We recommend using our top menu to double check the correct instructions for dialing to a specific country.
