    We are visiting Ireland in a few days and will be meeting up with relatives
    who are from Canada. They are not very mobile phone clever and I will be
    leaving a UK Virgin phone at their hotel so they can contact us.
    Now, what prefix should we add (if any) to call each other ? (our phone is
    also Virgin mobile).
    I have spoken to Virgin and they told me try all options! Not explaining
    what the options were of course. I want to be able to tell them what number
    to call.

    If both mobile phones are registered in the UK you can call each other by
    using either +44 7xxx xxx xxx or 00 44 7xxx xxx xxx.
    To call an Irish phone use 00 353 or +353 followed by the phone number (drop
    the initial zero).

    I hope this answers your question(s).

Heads-up: some information on these forums could be outdated - countries change their numbering plans periodically. We recommend using our top menu to double check the correct instructions for dialing to a specific country.
