calling cell phone in france

I am trying to call this # and have not been successful. 0786221xxx I started with 011, then 33 for France. No luck. I tried adding a 6 for cell phones between the 33 and the 07. Then I tried removing the 0 still no luck. I’m stuck Hope someone can help Thanks

Hello,

If you are in the US/Canada the correct way to dial is 011 33 78…. This is a new format for French cell phones.

Thanks. I tried that and I got the wrong #. The # was given to the party in France by Orange just a few hours ago. They were told 0786…

The starting zero is used for calls within France only. When dialing from outside France you must leave out the zero. Not sure why you got the wrong number – you mean someone answered and it was not the right person?
