calling from riyadh to SA

Hi,
I am trying to call my friend who’s currently living in South Africa. I tried calling but it didn’t work. I am calling from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) and i’m trying to call his cell phone (he’s in South Africa, Port Elizabeth). I am using my saudi SIM and so is he. Everytime i try calling his normal cell phone number (which always works when we’re both in Saudi using saudi SIMs) it doesn’t work. How do i call him?

Hello,
If your friend is in a foreign country with a Saudi SIM/phone number you dial using the same dialing sequence used when he is in Saudi Arabia (no need to add international codes). If it doesn’t work it’s likely because your friend either doesn’t have international roaming and can not use his cell abroad or your friend’s phone is turned off or it is in a non coverage area.
