The phone number for a popular B&B in rome has been given to me as 0039 338 884???
What should I be dialling exactly (from Australia) to call this number.

    Hi Phil,

They added the 00 at the beginning because this is the exit code used to dial out from most European countries. However, when calling internationally from Australia you must use 0011 instead of 00. So you will dial: 0011 39 338 884???. 39 is Italy’s country code. The actual number looks like a cell phone although most cell numbers in Italy are of the format 3?? ??? ???? (10 digits VS 9 in your number).

I hope this helps. You can find additional info on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/results.php?callfrom=australia&callto=italy

Heads-up

Some information on these forums could be outdated - countries change their numbering plans periodically. We recommend using our top menu to double check the correct instructions for dialing to a specific country.
