    Hello,

Trying to figure out how to call the United States from all the countries in Europe and Asia. According to this site, it seems that all the countries in Europe and Asia dial 00 + 1+ area code + Phone number. The one exception to this appears to be Japan who dials 010 and the same.

Is it true that all the other countries in Europe and Asia dial 00 when calling the US?

    Thanks so much,
    Alex

    Hello Alexandra,
What you need to do is check out our codes list and look for a country's exit code:

I can tell you for sure that all of Europe uses 00 to dial internationally. I can't say for sure that all countries in Asia except for Japan use 00. I know most countries do use 00.

One easier solution, if you will be using a mobile phone to place calls is to use the plus sign instead of 00 or 010 or whatever exit code a country uses: +1 ??? ??? ???? will work from all countries.
