    I have 2 questions
1.) if I use my sprint cell phone in France, how do I call numbers in Europe (011+ country code + city code plus phone #)? Since my cell phone is American sprint, does each call needs to be prefixed?

2.) IF I call back to the states from my sprint phone do I need any prefixes or just area code and phone #.

By prefix I mean exit code country code city code.

    Hi Frank,

While in Europe your phone no longer uses American dialing rules to call internationally or domestically, but the rules of the country you'll be in. All of Europe uses exit code 00 to dial abroad. Calling back to the States: 00 1 ### ### ####. Calling to France while in France doesn't require 00 or country code - just dial what they dial.

One thing you should know about most European cell phones - they do not use area codes, but have a nationwide dialing format.

I hope this helps. If you have other questions don't hesitate to ask.
