Directory assistance numbers can generally be accessed only nationally because callers are charged on a pay per call basis and charging callers from another country is probably more complicated. In other words, Belgium directory assistance phone numbers (1207 and 1307) can only be dialed from Belgium. Most countries however provide international directory assistance (I think it’s 411 in Canada).
