Hey guys i was just wondering ..
How do i send an sms (cellphone to cellphone) from overseas to Rostov-on-don,Russia?
Do we use the same codes as the ones used in normal dialing;001 + 7 + 9** *** **** ?
    Thanks 🙂

    Hello,

Yes, from Singapore you can use 001 or you can also use the plus sign instead of 001. For the latter you have to literally enter the plus sign before Russia’s country code (7).

Btw the number is +7 8 9** *** **** so i suppose the 8 is ignored? And do we have to key in the area code (example: 863) after the country code(7)?

Indeed 8 is ignored (used within Russia only). No need to enter area code – cell phones do not use them.

Heads-up: some information on these forums could be outdated - countries change their numbering plans periodically. We recommend using our top menu to double check the correct instructions for dialing to a specific country.
