On July 28, 2010 The Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology Qatar made some changes to this country’s telephone numbering plan. Fixed and mobile numbers formerly 7 digit became 8 digit as follows:

    -mobile numbers of the format 3 ??? ??? became 33 ??? ??? on July 28, 2010
    -4 ??? ??? (fixed) >>>>>> 44 ??? ???
    -5 ??? ??? (mobile) >>>>>> 55 ??? ???
    -6 ??? ??? (mobile) >>>>>> 66 ??? ???
    -7 ??? ??? (mobile) >>>>>> 77 ??? ???

Other numbers (freephone, short codes or paging numbers) were not changed.

Our page on calling Qatar shows complete information on how to dial this country.
