   My girlfriend is away in Ayia Napa Cyprus and was wondering how I would go about ringing the police in an emergency. The number is 1499 when in the country but obviously this wouldn't work from the uk which is where I am. Any ideas ? Thanks

   I was able to find this contact number for the Ayia Napa Police Station by doing a web search: +357 23 803200 and here's the page providing the number:
