    On January 31st 2010, The Autoridade Geral de Regulacao (AGER) Sao Tome announced a change in this country’s telephone numbering plan. All fixed and mobile numbers were added one digit as follows:

    Fixed numbers

    • Old format: 2 ?????
    • New format after January 31: 22 ?????

    Mobile numbers

    • Old format: 9 ?????
    • New formats after January 31:

      • 99 ?????
      • some new cell numbers will start with 98: 98 ?????
