The Department of Information Communications Technology of Seychelles announces an updated Numbering Plan for this country starting May 4, 2011. All fixed and mobile phone numbers will be added one digit to become 7 digit as follows:

    • Fixed numbers

      • 2? ?? ?? become 4 2? ?? ??
      • 3? ?? ?? become 4 3? ?? ??

    • Mobile numbers

      • 5? ?? ?? become 2 5? ?? ??
      • 7? ?? ?? become 2 7? ?? ??

VoIP phone numbers have this format: 6 ?? ?? ?? (it seems that these numbers were already 7 digit at the time of this numbering plan update so they didn’t change).

Complete and up to date info on calling Seychelles

Parellel running of the old and new numbering plans will work for 3 months.
