SMS Saudi Arabia to Zambia

Hi

I am trying to SMS a friend in Zambia from the KSA. I am dialing 00 260 977 132???.
It says it is sent but it never reaches the recipient. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,
Make sure you can send texts internationally – call your wireless provider to ask. Sometimes calling/texting to international numbers is blocked. Otherwise you seem to be dialing the right numbers. One other option you have is to replace 00 with the plus sign.

OK I’ll check with my provider. I tried the + rather than the 00 but no luck. What’s strange is I can receive a text from them which I tried to reply to – same result. And I have made international calls back to Canada without any issue either so not sure what the problem is.

Indeed I don’t know what to say – seems that the problem is on your end. Asking your wireless provider about this is the best starting point. Let us know what they say. Thanks:)
