U.S. cell in the UK

how do my friends and I call each others cell phones while we are in the UK? We all have U.S. cell numbers.

To call between US cell phones in the UK you should dial: 00 1 followed by 3 digit area code and 7 digit cell number. Basically, you dial your friends as if they were in the US. The page below has detailed info on how international mobile roaming works:
