I’m new in Canada and I only would like to know what number is 866?! because it is not an area code. I got a phone call on my mailbox and they told me to call this number back. And they said it is not a “???” I didn’t understood what it was. So if I phone this number back will I get a bad surprise when I get my next phone bill?!

866 numbers are toll free (also know as freephone in some countries) numbers in the US and Canada. This means that calling the number is generally free for you the caller. I believe calling from a cell phone isn’t free. Other toll free prefixes are: 800, 855, 877 and 888.
