    Hi Speedy:)
If you bought a USA sim card it means you will be given a USA phone number. These don’t start with zero like they do in the UK. US numbers have this format: 3 digit area code followed by 7 digit local number (??? ??? ????). People in the UK woul dial 00 1 ??? ??? ???? from both landlines and cell phones. To dial the UK you would enter 011 44 followed by the UK number in national format without the starting zero.

It would likely be cheaper to call a UK landline.

    You would dial 001 31 6281948**
You can also use the plus sign instead of 001 when dialing from your cell. If it doesn’t work it’s possible that your cellular plan does not allow international dialing – you would need to call your wireless provider for this.

    Hi Julie,

I need more info. What is the mobile number you’ve been trying to reach (you can replace the last 2 digits with *** if you don’t want to disclose it)? Is it a Dutch person living in Holland or is it an Australian person traveling with his/her mobile phone to Amsterdam?

Hello. Unfortunately these cellular numbers have the same format for the whole UAE so we can not determine which city they belong to.

Your friends are gonna have to dial the following: 011 84 128 363 ????. The zero before 128 is used for calls within VT only.

    Hello,

Your message is a bit confusing. From what I understand you are in Japan and trying to call a Singapore cell phone currently located in India. If this is correct you would dial: 010 65 followed by the cell number. I just tried dialing this number myself and I am getting a wrong number message. Moreover, according to my sources Singapore cell numbers can have the following two formats: 8??? ???? or 9??? ????. Your number starts with 5. Now, it is possible for some Singapore new cell numbers to start with 5, but I am not aware of such additions.

    Elena,

Yes, sorry for the confusion. Most countries don’t require adding an area code to cell numbers. Peru does – I’d forgotten and didn’t look carefully on https://www.howtocallabroad.com/peru/ before answering your post.

    Hi Elena,

00 is the exit code used to dial out of the UK and 51 is Peru’s country code. So from the UK you should dial the following: 00 51 9 ???? ???? (starting with 9 we have the cell number). Have you been dialing this with no success?

No, I was just suggesting checking it to make sure you still have funds available. Hard to guess why you could send messages and you no longer can. There should be a Vodafone customer service number you can call to inquire about this issue.

    Hello,

Leaving out the starting 9 won’t solve your problem. If this is the number you were provided then this is the number you should dial. Try using a different service to place this call. If you want I can try dialing one of these Indian cell numbers for you to see if the call goes through.

The starting zero is used for calls within France only. When dialing from outside France you must leave out the zero. Not sure why you got the wrong number – you mean someone answered and it was not the right person?

    Hello,

If you are in the US/Canada the correct way to dial is 011 33 78…. This is a new format for French cell phones.

    Hello,

If you could dial using this sequence then this is the correct way to dial. You must have 10 digits after 9 (area code + number must total 10 digits). Hard to say why you are getting the Error in conection message. This happens sometimes when the network is too busy. Try again later and keep me posted. I can try dialing this number for you just to see if it connects.

The number your friend gave you already has the country code 380 added to it. It is indeed a cell phone and you should look at it this way: 380 63 ??? ???? (63 ??? ???? is the cell number). To the number she gave you just add 011: (011 380 63 ??? ????).

You either use 00 or the plus sign. Never both. So you can try +51 1 9812 etc. If this is still not working call your wireless provider to inquire about this issue. Could be that you don’t have international texting activated.

I don’t think you can do this. The Cuban wireless provider http://www.etecsa.cu/ doesn’t seem to sell anything online at this time.

As for the most inexpensive way to call Canada from Cuba – if the person in Cuba has a broadband Internet connection they can use a PC to Phone (VoIP) service to place inexpensive calls. On this page https://www.howtocallabroad.com/cuba/ we have a calling card search at the bottom. Try using that to find a VoIP service.
